There is a $31.3 billion American company that almost nobody can picture.

No Super Bowl ad. No mascot. No checkout line you have ever stood in.

And yet it is probably inside your walls right now.

Ferguson sells the pipe behind your drywall, the valve under your street, the copper fitting in your water heater, the fire sprinkler over your head at the grocery store. Last year it did $31.3 billion in sales and earned $10.16 in diluted EPS, selling objects that customers specifically hope never to look at.

Here is the weird part.

Ferguson is the biggest company in its industry. By a lot. And it still only has about nine cents of every dollar spent in the market it serves.
