A gas station where the bananas are cheaper than the bananas at the grocery store.

Not a gimmick. Not one week. Every day, priced low enough that people genuinely stop there for produce. At a place with fuel pumps out front.

There is also a bakery. And a dairy. Not a dairy case, a dairy. The company owns the plant that makes the milk.

It bakes its own bread. It makes its own cheese. It processes its own meat.

A convenience store decided to become a vertically integrated food company, and then kept the gas pumps because why not.

This is the strangest business model in American retail, and the logic underneath it is airtight. Let me walk you through it.
