Here is a sandwich most Americans have never heard of.

Bread dough wrapped around ground beef, cabbage and onion. Baked, not fried. No sauce. Nothing dramatic.

It sounds like something served at a church basement potluck in 1974.

Now here is the strange part. In Nebraska, this thing is a religion. There are dozens of locations. People who move away have them shipped frozen. It is sold at the college football stadium to eighty thousand people at once.

And the company has spent eighty years mostly refusing to leave.

Because everybody in America is told the same thing. Grow. Expand. Scale. Take it national.

This company looked at that advice and said no thanks.
