Here's the weird thing about shopping now. The person paying full price isn't necessarily the person who missed the sale. They may have done exactly what the retailer hoped: They saw a price and bought.
Meanwhile, another shopper bought the exact same thing for less. Maybe they used the store's loyalty program.
Maybe they had an app coupon. Maybe they went through a cash-back portal. Maybe they found a lower price and got the store to match it. Maybe they simply waited three weeks. Same product. Same store. Wildly different final price.
And this is where shopping has changed. The old game was: Find a sale. The new game is: Build the cheapest possible transaction.
That's a much more useful skill. Because there isn't one magic trick that makes everything cheaper.
